History of Fluidmoves

Fluidmoves was conceptualised throughout 2007 during filming by a team working with Alpha Productions. The team required a number of different rigs for a variety of edits, from staying with the action in downhill mountain biking to filming music promos.

The Fluidmoves company formed in 2008 to create 21st century camera rigs. Our aim is to bring high budget equipment to an affordable level for all productions. The two founding members, Rob Hayter and Paul Cave have combined experience of over 50 years, working with the very latest technology.

Rob Hayter has over 20 years of experience in Television production, specialising in Extreme Sports coverage for national television. Recently, Rob's interest in filming has led to the development of next generation Camera rigs to keep up with the action in all fields.

Gerry is a very experienced Lighting Cameraman having particular interest in the fields of Documentaries and Interviewing.

He has produced very sensitive work on Mental Health, Medical Matters and issues relating to Self Improvement. Also in 1998 Gerry filmed and produced The Scottish Coastline video which takes you on a journey all around the coast of Scotland by land, sea and air. With fantastic scenery and original musical score this was a very successful film selling in many countries all over the world.

Add to this the filming of Royal Visits, Sport and a very keen interest in Nostalgia, Gerry is available to produce complete programming or parts of projects which require special attention. Gerry also has 20 years experience of working in Television both in front of the camera and behind the scenes so he really understands the clients needs and is fantastic at relating to actors and presenters alike. He first began working as a teenager in the fields of live entertainment and at Granada Television, Manchester, England under the supervision of well known producer Muriel Young.

Hoi Polloi Film and Video was founded in 1988 and has supplied location film crews to both broadcast and corporate clients regionally, nationally and worldwide for 20 years.

If you are looking for a camera/steadicam operator right now or not, either way, you found one.

No, really, the situation may come up that you need one. Maybe you are looking right now?! In any case, it’s always good to have another name in your folder – just in case.

We all know that most crew members are hired based on recommendations, experience, as well as the location of the shoot.

Ok then. I have been a camera operator for nearly two decades and I have the resume to back it up.
