For over 30 years J&J International have been providing high quality and cost effective solutions for on-production catering, for the television and film industries worldwide.

Catering is an essential part of the process of creating great productions, with not only the quality of the food to be considered but also the speed at which it can be served.
Reducing break times and getting the cast and crew back to work as quickly as possible, contented and happy is one of the skills which J&J International is proud of - we can serve one hundred people a three-course meal in a half-hour period.

The crew base was the Holland Park car park where J&J, "caterers to the film and television industry" set up their portable kitchen.
Clyde Lane, son of John, cooked us a terrific lunch. It included soup or various starters, then fried plaice, pasta, roast lamb with roast potatoes, a veggie dish and one of the most excellent steamed treacle puddings ever".

Renowned for quality and consistency, we have many years of experience in the industry with the back up of a well established company. We continue to win highly sought after contracts, due to the professional staff and the personal service that is demanded by the production companies.

Our menus are vast and can be tailor-made to suit special requirements from low fat diets to vegetarian and vegan food. We cater for up to 1000 per day backed up by our support vehicles and fridge trucks. All our mobile kitchens are fitted to the highest standards and comply with EU regulations.

We have great experience in overseas catering and like to rise to the challenge of still providing a first class service whether in Russia, Morocco, or the French Alps. Based in Lancashire though we travel Nationwide. Our Head Chef/Owner Peter Cross has over twenty years experience of working within most aspects of the catering industry including hotels, restaurants, outside catering and TV & Film location catering.

Peter has over ten years experience of working within the TV & film industry, which include Hetty Wainthrop Investigates, Teachers series 1, 2 & 3, Born and Bred, Midsommer Murders, Eastenders, Peep Show, Hustle, Madame Bovary, Heartbeat, Lock Stock the series, Casualty, Murphys Law and My Summer of Love.

The catering that we offer consists of running beverages all day, full English breakfast, breakfast buffet, mid-morning snack, choice of hot & cold lunches with a wide selection of salads & nibbles, cheeseboard, selection of desserts, afternoon tea break sandwiches, cakes & chocolate, fresh fruit baskets can be provided upon request, mineral water & fruit juices are included in our daily price.

Being a self-contained unit Athlone can replace traditional on-location catering where currently a combination of mobile kitchens with marquees or outside seating areas are used.

Athlone will provide you with restaurant style food in comfortable surroundings in a stand-alone hospitality unit. Our self-sufficient facility contains a fully fitted commercial kitchen and an attached 19mtr by 8mtr awning which can be deployed and altered to fulfil your specific requirements and only requires a fresh water source on site.

As well as the hospitality unit Athlone will put support vehicles, staff and all the logistics needed at your disposal to enable you to create the ideal on-location catering.
